palstic waste is a vry big problem for our environment. that accumulation of plastic products in the environment causes adverse affects on wildlife habitats, and human. acording to national Geoghrapy.com "in 2018, there was around 380 milion tons of plastic produced worldwide, with an from 1950 to 2018 it was estimated that 6.3 bilion tons plastic had been produced worldwide, with an esstimated 9% tahat has been recycled and an estimated 12% that has been burned." in indonesia, base on data obatained from the indonesia plastic industry Association "plastic in indonesia has reached 64 milion tons every year".

so much rubbish is very deterimental to all of us. around my house there is so much garbage that people throw it into the river which causes flooding during the rainy seaseon and bad smelling odors. platic pollution not only occurs in the marine environtment but olso occurs within our school, in my school, every day the garbage collector goes around picking up trash from in front of our classes, he usually does this 1 to 3 times.  This happend because mnay students buy food and drinks with disposable packaging such as water bottles, plastic bags. and plastic food containers. with 1000 students, you can imagine if one persone buy 3 to 5 plastic item daily, how much plastic waste this creates. so what we should first, we have to recognize the type of garbage that is reusable. people can recycle plastic waste item like water bottles used for drinking to create useful products such as garbage bins. the benefits of reusing waste can also save natural resources. Researchears at National Geography.com state "that by 2050 there my be more plastic than fish in the ocean". this is a warning to all of us, if we produce so much plastic in just one year, imagine how many hundreds or thaousand of pounds of garbage we can make in the next 5 or 10 years. this garbage eventually ends up in our oceans and damages the marine ecosystems.
Secondly, we can help reduce the amount of plastic we use by bringing drinking bottle and food containers from home. My teacher in SMAN 1 Cikembar helad a three month project to promote using less plastic. She told us to make our own bags of recycle material to use whwn buying snacks instead of using a single bag every time.
together let us reduce, reuse, and recycle the plastic waste around us and little by little we can change our impact on the environment.
